Jojoba Seed Oil – Before we get into the many proven benefits of this amazing ingredient, let’s establish how to pronounce it: ho-ho-ba! Technically, Jojoba isn’t an oil, but a wax with powerful moisturising properties. Jojoba oil is extracted from the Jojoba plant and has a chemical structure that resembles Sebum, the oil that is produced naturally by our scalps. Research shows that the natural resemblance of Jojoba to Sebum makes your scalp far more likely to accept it without side effects. Because of the incredibly high content of saturated and monounsaturated fats, Jojoba oil, similar to coconut oil, hydrates the hair deep within, moisturising and treating the hair follicles from the inside out. Research shows that Jojoba oil can help to promote hair growth and reduce hair loss by dissolving the dirt build up on your scalp and nourishing the hair follicles. It also treats dry scalp problems and dandruff, as well as reduces hair frizz and breaks, and adds shine and softness to hair.

Panthenol Pro-Vitamin B5 – Panthenol (vitamin B5) is a vitamin that is proven fantastic for hair and skincare alike. Panthenol stimulates skin regeneration and boosts healing, which is great for scalp health, look and feel, and according to experts has the potential of improving hair growth. Panthenol is a small enough molecule to penetrate the hair and moisturise it, helping increase hair elasticity and reduce breakage. Panthenol spreads evenly on the surface of hair strands, forming a smooth film that makes hair softer and shinier, and reduces static. Panthenol is not waxy at all and is extremely water-soluble for easy rinsing and no nasty buildups. The smooth film that forms with Panthenol use also provides excellent slip between adjacent strands of hair and detangling properties. Research shows that Panthenol penetrates deep into the cuticle and the hair shaft itself, where it aids in moisture retention and adds to hair volume.

Elemi Seed Oil – Our Elemi oil comes from Elemi trees grown in the Philippines, where this wonderful essential oil is distilled from the natural resin of the tree. Traditionally, Elemi oil is used to relieve nervous exhaustion and stress, and to promote a feeling of inner peace. Elemi oil has clean, green, pine-like undertones, grasses and frankincense resin notes. This oil is proven to be highly antiseptic, perfect for scalp care and ideally suited to treating dry or damaged hair.
