So what about the many active ingredients in our Marine Mild Shampoo? We’ve included some helpful information below on the benefits of these key ingredients:

Bladderwrack (Seaweed) Extract – Our Bladderwrack seaweed is sustainably harvested from the coasts of France. Bladderwrack extract helps restore youthful-looking shine to damaged hair while protecting it from styling stress, colour fading and frizz. Bladderwrack’s 18 amino acids are known to act as the building blocks of protein, helping restore damaged strands and chemically treated hair, while its 12 vitamins and 42 minerals and trace elements infuse hair with a dramatic, youthful lustre that lasts. The pure seaweed filtrate we use in our products is derived using a proprietary extraction method that creates a fluid containing all the rich seaweed phytonutrients in their most potent form. Seaweed is naturally hydrating to the scalp and gives shine to strands, while its fatty and amino acids help keep hair strong. Everyone will benefit from our seaweed extract, it’s a truly amazing ingredient for all hair types.

Giant Sea Kelp Extract – Macrocystis pyrifera, commonly known as Giant Sea Kelp or Giant Bladder Kelp, is a species of brown algae, and one of four species in the genus Macrocystis. It acts as an antiseptic and anti-irritant that helps protect your hair and scalp from sun damage. In fact, Giant Sea Kelp is an all-around winner for hair and scalp health. Its antioxidant qualities help to detoxify your hair, encouraging a youthful, healthy-looking shine and lustre. Several of the minerals in Giant Sea Kelp, along with iodine promote a healthier scalp and stronger hair. The Giant Sea kelp we use in our Marine range of shampoos and conditioners is fantastic for nourishing and hydrating dry hair. Giant Sea kelp is rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D and E, plus zinc, iodine, magnesium, iron, copper, and potassium. It also contains 10 times more calcium than milk.

Argan Oil – Extracted from the core of the Argan tree, this wonderful rich elixir is brimming with hair health benefits. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, Argan oil hydrates, nourishes and moisturises your hair and scalp. By increasing hair elasticity, reducing breakage and split ends, and keeping your scalp healthy, Argan oil can help prevent hair loss, resulting in a thicker, fuller head of hair. Spearmint Oil – Our American Spearmint Oil brings a feeling of energy and vitality with every wash, and it poses great benefits for hair and scalp health. Spearmint is naturally anti-fungal and antibacterial in nature, making it an effective treatment for certain scalp conditions including Androgenic Alopecia and Dandruff. It helps to nourish the scalp and actively reduce hair loss by supporting scalp health and prolonging the typical hair fall cycle. Research now shows that spearmint is more effective than Minoxidil, the only allopathic product that is approved by the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) for aiding hair loss issues, and it helps you grow new hair with least to no side effects at all.  All varieties of Mint possess the same properties, though what makes Spearmint different is that it does not contain any Menthol and therefore does not have that characteristic cold feeling that is associated with Peppermint.

Panthenol Vitamin Pro B5 – Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) is a vitamin that is proven fantastic for hair and skin care alike. Panthenol stimulates skin regeneration and boosts healing, which is great for scalp health, look and feel, and according to experts has the potential of improving hair growth. Panthenol is a small enough molecule to penetrate the hair and moisturise it, helping increase hair elasticity and reduce breakage. Panthenol spreads evenly on the surface of hair strands, forming a smooth film that makes hair softer and shinier, and reduces static. Panthenol is not waxy at all and is extremely water-soluble for easy rinsing and no nasty buildups. The smooth film that forms with Panthenol use also provides excellent slip between adjacent strands of hair and detangling properties. Research shows that Panthenol penetrates deep into the cuticle and the hair shaft itself, where it aids in moisture retention and adds to hair volume.

APPLICATION: Our Marine Mild Shampoo is free of Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS), so please apply enough product to encourage a thick lather when washing your hair. A few pumps are usually enough for shoulder-length hair, more for longer hair. When using the correct amount of Marine Mild Shampoo, our natural foaming ingredients will give you a thick, luxurious dense foam lather quite unlike anything else. Lather your hair and scalp, gently massaging in the foam, leaving it a few minutes to penetrate. Rinse the foam off thoroughly with warm water. Avoid using excessively hot water when showering as this can weaken your hair. Gently pat your hair with a towel to take away the excess moisture. Avoid vigorous towelling of your hair since wet hair strands are far weaker than dry strands. If you condition your hair, use our Marine Conditioner for the best results. Scrunch your damp hair or comb through gently and consider applying one of our hair health and styling spritzes while your hair is still damp.
